Monday
*Share a Book Day*
Invite community leaders and/or family members from your center to read in your program. Others might become a reading partner to a child in the classroom while some parents may prefer to chaperone a field trip to the library.
Tuesday
*TV Turn-off Day*
Take control of the electronic media in your life. Turn off TV’s, computers, and cell phones to enjoy quality family time. Plan a dinner and pull out a board game.
Wednesday
*Safety Day*
Discuss the importance of safety. Practice safety drills, discuss bicycle safety, car seats and stranger danger.
Thursday
*Health and Fitness Day*
Plan outdoor activities. Go on a spring walk, prepare a garden or visit a park.
Friday
*Teacher/Staff Appreciation Day*
Express appreciation to others who are in the profession of caring for young children via a handwritten note, e-mail or phone call. For example: child care teachers and staff, resource centers, agencies, funding services, or Oklahoma Child Care Services.
Saturday
*Family Day*
Spend time with your family by visiting your local children’s museums, parks and activity centers.
